After a successful trial run in January—three sold-out performances!—Yiddish She-Devils returns to the Santa Monica Playhouse for a six-week run, with special cameo by Ed Asner... as the voice of God!

In Yiddish She-Devils Nicole Berger reinterprets medieval Jewish folktales and legends as comedic morality plays, highlighted by live Klezmer music and belly dancing, to examine she-devils from the underworld who unintentionally create scandal in the shtetl!

Adam plays multiple comedic roles in this evening of three one-act plays. As Howie Shaken, on-air host for Yiddish radio station WEVD, he serves as the narrator for the whole evening. Then, in the first of the three stories, "Yiddish She-Devil," he plays a rabinnic pupil who serves as the prosecutor in the Jewish court proceedings against the demoness of the title; in the last tale, "How Yakov Swallowed His Pride," he plays a fey nobleman who swoons upon discovering a lost woman in the forest.

The show has gotten positive reviews from all three papers that sent critics—Beverly Hills Outlook, BackstageWest, and LA Weekly. The cast was given high marks in all three, and Adam was singled out for praise in both the Outlook and Weekly reviews, the latter of which said he was "never off the comic mark!" (see Reviews below to read the full texts).
